The Life of Brandon
So I haven't updated in about five months, it's kind of dying. But still breathing I'd say. I've been wanting to get back into comics lately so there might be some updates sometime in the future. I have to say though, I don't really miss the vibe of this site, a lot of opinionated assholes like to express their dislike for my art and sense of humor. The O-Zone is not some kind of comic I'm trying to put on a pedestal. Each strip represents and idea, sometimes not even that, a quick thought if you will. The drawings, for the most part, are simple, which compliments the thought or idea. The jokes are in the simplicity of the style and writing. Some people fail to understand that and it upsets them, if you don't like it that's fine. We're all here on this earth trying to figure out how we fit into the puzzle that is life. So why complicate it with negative energy? The negative energy that people put out has, in a way, depleted some of my positive energy that kept the strip going. Is that what you were going for? To destroy someone's inspiration? Luckily, there are way more people who express the enjoyment they get from the strip and that is what will forever keep it breathing. Thank You.
As of what I'm doing now, I am currently illustrating a Children's book written by Conor Dubin. The book is called Kate's First Mate, and you read about it at katesfirstmate.com
I've also been doing a few art shows here and there around LA, I am the Director of Graphics for Roar Clothing which you can look into at roarusa.com
I've been working on storyboards as well (more on that when the projects start wrapping up) and I've been developing my style more and more, which is way more detailed than The O-Zone strips. And I've been designing Logos, posters, t-shirts, Album covers, etc for local LA bands. It's been fun, and it's just the tip of the ice burg.
So that's what's been goin on with me. Hopefully you'll see some new strips in the near future. Keep putting out positive vibes, it makes the world go round much more smoothly.

Excuse
I know I know, I havent posted in a long-anus time. Ive been working on other projects, mostly illustrations and stuff like that. You can see them at brandonolterman.deviantart.com Ive got several fun potential projects coming up that involve the interweb, therefore I shall keep you updated if anything happens with them. And I suppose I'll post a comic or two here soon. Anywho, thanks to those who have been still stopping by even though I havent been home.
Next Art Show
I know I know I know, I suck at updating my webcomic, but thats because I've been super busy doing other forms of artwork. In particular, storybook-type illustrations. Mainly because I've been preparing for my next artshow. I have a spot in the upcoming Brewery Artwalk. It is located in downtown Los Angeles and it comes around twice a year and it's flippin huge with over 150 galleries. Its the world's largest Art Colony, so its a pretty cool event. Therefore, if you happen to be in Los Angeles, you should come by and check out my stuff, you can see some of it at brandonolterman.deviantart.com And I'll be selling prints of my work for $15, and maybe even some originals, who knows. But it'd be awesome if you stopped by and said hi.
The Brewery Artwalk is on April 18th and 19th (Saturday and Sunday and is located at:
2100 North Main Street
Los Angeles, CA 90031
My gallery is at the Think Tank Gallery and will be at:
620 Mouton Ave #215
There will be beer, live bands, and some really cool art at our gallery so come by if you're in the area!
Art Show in LA
Heyo, theres an Art Show in Downtown LA on November 1st and 2nd http://www.breweryartwalk.com/. Me and my roommate Logan Walden have some stuff in it. If you happen to be in the area you should come out. It should be really fun, we're displaying art that is inspired by music. Our booth is called Sound Affects Art and it will have a song you can listen to while looking at the certain piece. So in a way, its kind of like a music video, but a piece of art instead. Anyways, its a huge art show that only comes around twice a year, and its got tons of artists, and it should be a hoot, and perhaps even a hollar.
Good News For Those Who Like Mediocre News
I've been going through a lot of my older strips and enhancing the colors and whatnot (trying to get a legit book ready to submit to publishers) but I've been coming across a lot of old stuff that I forgot about, so you'll be seeing more frequent updates with some of my older stuff. Good times.
Things To Come...
Ahoy all. I've been lagging with the comic strips a bit because I've been getting into so many different forms of art. Im getting into storyboards, script writing, freelance illustrations, album art, writing a couple skits, t-shirt designs, short stories, even a bit of stand-up.
If anyone out there needs any art work done, let me know. Also, if anyone is interested in buying prints of comics that are on the site I'll hook ya up.
Lets see, what else...my roommate and I got a spot on the LA Art Walk in Downtown coming up in November, so if anyone is around for that you should stop by. Ill put more info on that when I get it. Should be fun.
What Im up to these days.
Well, I have finally moved out to LA and so far I like it a lot. I live in Echo Park and Im currently working on a series of different styles for several concept album covers. Its just a project for stuff to put in my portfolio. You can see the first one I've done at brandonolterman.deviantart.com There are also a few comics from my newer strip called "Obscure World". So check that shit out!
Oh, and sorry for the lack of updates lately, I've been workin like crazy and just tryin to adapt to the LA lifestyle. So I haven't been focusing as much as I want on The O-Zone strips lately, but the ideas for strips are still flowing, its just a matter of time until they find their way onto paper.
On Second Thought...
Okay, perhaps I've still got too many creative juices flowing in me to quit doing comics. In fact, I think I might try to get a book finally published with them. I'm moving to LA in July, so maybe I can get some new inspiration and the ball rolling on some of my stuff. So I hope you guys keep checking the site every so often for new stuff!
Ah yes, it feels good to be back.
The End (?)
It might be that time, the time to call it quits. Not for good, thats for sure. But the webcomic thing is turning out to be not so much fun. Overall, I get way more people that like my stuff than hate it, but those people that hate it really like to let me know about it, to the point where I had someone wanting me dead...sheesh. Anyways, I draw comics for me, not anyone else. Some people just love to shit all over everyones hard work because it makes them feel like they're better than others. It really drains all the fun out of making comics. I'll still draw them, I have big plans for them in the future actually. But I plan on focusing my efforts, humor, and creativity into new mediums now. Mainly film. Id also like to dabble into some advertisement, marketing, freelance illustration, and logo design. So comics are going to be on a freetime bases and Ill probably still throw one up on this site every so often. But when the time comes, I think Im going to get me a really nice site one day. A good home for my comics. But I would like to give thanks for everyone who stopped by, and left comments and critisism (I actually really like critisism if its meant to help) and I hope you keep stopping by every so often.

A Kink In Productivity
I know I haven't updated for quite awhile, that is mainly due to losing my flashdrive that had all of my newer stuff on it. I am saddend by this event, and I hope it turns up soon.
